What the work involves.
Exteriors in Minnesota do not fail at the paint. They fail at the prep. Water gets behind a coating that was applied over chalky, unwashed siding, freezes, expands, and lifts it off in sheets the following spring.
So we wash first, scrape back anything loose, and spot prime every bit of bare wood before a finish coat goes anywhere near it. It adds a day. It adds years.
We work on stucco, metal, concrete and brick as well as wood siding, and we choose products rated for the range this state actually puts them through, not for a mild climate.

Free estimate, sample, then the work.
We look at the job and put honest pricing in writing. For anything involving color, you approve a physical sample before we start. Then we prep, protect and finish, and walk it with you before we leave.
What it is like to have us outside.
Exterior work is louder and more weather-dependent than interior, and the house stays yours the whole time. Here is what actually changes while we are on the ladders.
- Weather moves dates, not qualityMinnesota decides the schedule as much as we do. We will not coat over damp or in the wrong temperature just to keep a date. You get told the same day it changes.
- Windows closed, plants coveredWindows and doors stay shut on the side we are working. Shrubs, beds and anything on the deck get covered before a sprayer comes out.
- Pets and the yardTell us if a dog uses the yard and when. We will plan around it and keep gates shut, but we would rather know than guess.
- Access and drivewayWe need a path to the house and somewhere to park near it. Everything is cleared off the driveway and lawn at the end of each day.
About exterior painting.
Roughly late spring through early fall in Minnesota. Coatings need temperatures to stay above their minimum overnight as well as during the day, so we book the shoulder months carefully.
Both, depending on the surface. Large siding runs spray evenly and fast. Trim, doors and detail work are cut in by hand.
We tell you before we start. Small repairs we handle; anything structural we flag so it gets fixed properly rather than painted over.
